IS HE TOAST IN THE 10th?
U.S. Cong. Chris Carney announced yesterday that he is voting YES on Health Care Reform. He said he wanted all Americans to have the same coverage as Congress. Right!
How pathetic is Carney’s statement? Doesn’t he know that only 37% of Pennsylvanians want this legislation.
Carney appears to be a bright guy, but PureBunkum thinks there are other considerations at play here:
1. Carney appears to fear the George Soros crowd and the bundles of cash it will use to defeat Blue Dog Democrats who don’t toe the party line—more than the people who vote in his own district.
2. Maybe the Obama administration promised him a job if he loses re-election for defying the wishes of his constituents. A U.S. Navy or Homeland Security position, perhaps?
3. We know he has taken money from Nancy Pelosi. Maybe she threatened to turn off the spigots. That kind of sounds like her.
There is plenty of speculation why Mr. Carney is refusing to “represent” his district. We’ll see if the media asks these questions during the campaign. We know we will be asking them here at PureBunkum.
Then there’s Cong. Paul Kanjorski, who, as of Sunday, was still undecided. What a crock of PureBunkum!
Stay tuned…
