Dear PureBunkum readers,
For the past two weeks I felt like someone cut off my arm, not being able to vent on PureBunkum, especially with all the continuing shenanigans in Wilkes-Barre, the county, the fiscal cliff, you name it. The site had expired, and it proved a little difficult getting it up and running again.
But I promise you, I will get caught up. In the meantime, I want to wish all of you a very Happy New Year, filled with the strength to meet the challenges in your life, good health, peace and happiness.
Now I have to decide what topic to tackle first. I already feel better that I can.

Welcome back. Two weeks? Seemed longer! Kind-da like we the faithful were facing a January 1st information cliff. Unlike the Washington gang you succeeded! As for priority I cast my vote for “shenanigans.” Management 101 regarding financial crisis requiring furloughs, non-essential go first. Eleven first responders deemed most non-essential over City Hall employees? Layoffs that gain zero dollars for the crisis due to mandated overtime to protect the citizens.
Why is it I await the likes of Allen Funt to say smile you’re on candid camera? As for “the difficulty getting up and running again” at age 75 I can relate to that every morning. On this first day of a new year I wish you all the success this site as earned.
Richard, as one of PureBunkum’s most loyal readers, I can’t thank you enough. As for Allen Funt, where are the Hawkeye cameras when you need them?
